About Us

Our Journey

Shree Swami Samarth Mitra Mandal was founded on 13 June 2003 by Late Rajendra Shamrao Sumbre with a visionary mission to bring the entire community of Sumbrenagar, Waki Khurd together through devotion, unity, and service. He registered the organization with Registration No. Maha.741/2003/Pune to officially establish this spirit of togetherness and cultural values. With unwavering dedication, he envisioned that this Mandal would grow into a strong pillar of community bonding and cultural pride in the future. Starting with a small group of devoted members, the Mandal has now expanded into a large family committed to preserving and spreading spiritual and cultural heritage, fulfilling his dream and laying a strong foundation for generations to come.

Our Purpose

The main purpose of our Mandal is to celebrate Ganesh Utsav with grandeur and deep devotion, while also actively engaging in various charitable and social welfare activities throughout the year. Alongside Ganesh Utsav, we also proudly celebrate Navratri Utsav, Shivjanm Utsav, and Dahi Handi, all of which bring the community together in a spirit of joy, unity, and cultural pride. Inspired by the vision of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj — a devoted follower of Lord Ganesha and Jagdamba — who dreamed of seeing this land flourish as a stronghold of saffron, Hindu faith, and righteous values, our Mandal strives to instill these ideals in the younger generation. We aim to nurture a deep sense of devotion, unity, and service among the youth so that they carry forward the legacy of protecting and uplifting our traditions for generations to come.

Our Members

Our Karyakartas are the true pillars and heartbeat of our Mandal. Without their tireless efforts, unwavering dedication, and selfless service, the Mandal would not be what it is today. Whether in moments of joy or times of sorrow, they stand together like a united family, supporting each other and the entire community. These devoted members work hand in hand, meticulously planning and executing every program to perfection — from intricate decorations and heartfelt rituals to inspiring cultural events and impactful social activities. Their passion and commitment transform every celebration into a soulful experience and keep the spirit of unity and devotion alive throughout the year. They embody the very essence of "seva" (selfless service), and through their love and hard work, they continue to uphold and strengthen the legacy of our Mandal.

Festivals We Celebrate

Ganesh Utsav is the heart and soul of our Mandal, celebrated with unmatched devotion and enthusiasm. Beautifully crafted idols, mesmerizing decorations, vibrant aartis, and cultural programs unite the entire community to welcome and honor Lord Ganesha as the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of joy.

During Navratri, we celebrate the divine feminine energy with devotion and vibrant festivities. The Mandal organizes Garba nights, daily poojas, and cultural programs that bring the community together in dance, music, and spiritual bliss, fostering unity and devotion among all age groups.

Shivjanm Utsav commemorates the birth of the great warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. We honor his courage, vision, and devotion through inspiring speeches, cultural performances, and community activities that remind us of our rich heritage and valorous past.

Gokulashtami, also known as Dahi Handi, celebrates Lord Krishna’s playful and divine spirit. Our Mandal organizes the traditional human pyramid competitions and joyous festivities, spreading cheer and reinforcing the values of teamwork, courage, and devotion.

Holi, the festival of colors, is celebrated to promote joy, togetherness, and the triumph of good over evil. Members come together to play colors, share sweets, and rejoice in an atmosphere of love and harmony, strengthening bonds within the community.
